How to register in Denmark

  1. Confirm your municipality's night cap — the default under the Housing Regulation Act is 70 nights/year, but several municipalities (including Copenhagen) have raised it to 100.
  2. Register under EU Regulation 2024/1028 once the national process is operational (from 20 May 2026).
  3. Track the annual tax-free allowance for platform income: DKK 35,100 for a primary residence, DKK 50,200 for a holiday home (2026 figures) — income above this is taxable.
